The Missouri Winter Games national invitational is a three week long sports festival open to athletes around the country. Athletic events and competitions showcase seven prominent sports: basketball, gymnastics, racquetball, swimming, trap shooting, volleyball, and wrestling. We have been blessed to have many famous athletes join us during these times such as USA soccer player Mia Hamm, USA gymnastics stand outs Jordyn Wieber, Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson.
The Missouri Winter Games was a dream of founder Jeff Collins. He envisioned a grassroots sports festival that would champion athletes of all ages. In 2006 this dream was accomplished. The MWG currently hosts over 10 different sporting events. For 12 years the MWG has promoted character through sports at all levels. From 80 year old runners to 5 year old gymnasts they are all champions.

The 27th Annual National HomeSchool Basketball Championships will be held in Springfield, MO March 12-16.
2018 will be the tenth consecutive year for Springfield to be the host of the National Tournament. Presented by the Greater Springfield Sports Commission, the event will feature teams of HomeSchool players from across the United States and includes contests in elementary, junior high school, junior varsity, and varsity age groups.
For the last 25 years, Nationals has been the largest home school sporting event in the World. Combined the 2015, 2016, & 2017 National Tournaments attracted a staggering 1,000+ HomeSchool Basketball teams to Springfield, MO! The NCHBC are directed by the National Christian HomeSchool Championships (NCHC).
Were very extremely excited about the 2018 championship, said Rob Flatt, Executive Director. Were looking forward to the participation of talented athletes from all across the country. Springfield is a great central location for teams to travel. We anticipate that the 2018 National Tournament will set another record for the largest HomeSchool sports tournament in the world. I am personally encouraged each year as I watch HomeSchool athletes getting the opportunity to play in incredibly epic battles in front of thousands of fans almost every night during Nationals. To see first hand how far HomeSchool Basketball has come over the past two decades is amazing. Friday night is always special as we fill Missouri States Hammons Student Center with 6,000-7,000 fans for the biggest games of the year.
