    Zumba Kids Jr Class

    In partnership with Studio Fitness, we are excited to offer Zumba Kids Jr classes!

    Zumba® Kids Jr classes are 45 minute, rockin’, high-energy dance parties packed with kid-friendly routines. We break down steps, add games, activities and cultural exploration elements into the class structure. Develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness as a natural part of your family’s life – Yes, parents and caretakers can participate in the class too! Classes incorporate key childhood development elements such as leadership, respect, team work, confidence, self-esteem, memory, creativity, coordination, balance, and cultural awareness.

    Recommended for ages 2 and up. Classes are $5 per child (adults are free).

    When registering, only include children in your group size – you do not need to include the adults who will attend. You can register online here or call 417-202-2025 to sign up.

    The Main Event - Sports Trivia

    Teams will compete in 10 unique sports categories for cash prizes. There will be 10 questions in each category for a total of 100.

    Local sports icon, Ned Reynolds, will emcee the event.

    Other sports celebrities, including Art Hains (the voice of the Bears) and Paul Mahon (Springfield Lazers GM) are among the celebrity judges.

    Food and drink throughout.

    Springfield MO's Saturday Morning Bike Ride

    Most great cycling cities have a regular Saturday morning ride that people know they can always show up to and jump in. Springfield, MO now has one, starting in the Spring of 2018.

    This mid-paced 50 miler is a ride intended/designed for: a) those cyclists who are ready to move up from the various beginner, no-drop rides; b) those looking to regain some fitness before riding with more aggressively paced groups; c) maybe some of those folks looking for an easier 50 on a given Saturday; and d) for folks who want to learn to ride in a pace-line.

    Sporting Clays Shoot

    Time: Registration at 8 a.m. - Shooting begins at 9:30 a.m.

    *Lunch will be provided at the end of the shoot.

    The funds raised from this event will benefit several clients with disabilities with start-up costs who are moving into their own homes.

    The ISL Start-Up Fund was established to provide a helping hand for our clients who otherwise could not afford to move into their own homes. More information to come!

    Nightlight Night with the Springfield Cardinals

    If you are a Springfield Cardinals fan, or if your life has been touched by adoption, then this event is for you. Show your support for adoption or the Cardinals! To purchase tickets, contact Regina Smith at 417-719-1573. This will be a terrific, family friendly event. The promotions for this game include a bobblehead, free ice cream sandwiches for the kids and kids run the bases.

    Singletrack Mind Festival 2018

    Lock your doors and hide your granola bars. The rumbling sound you hear is the frantic race of chewed up trail shoes, gnarled bike knobbies, semi-flat camper tires and the collective howl of loaded down Subaru wagons descending on the hills of Two Rivers Bike Park.

    Trailspring is proud to announce the FIFTH annual Singletrack Mind Festival taking place Labor Day Weekend (September 1-3rd) and benefitting TrailSpring - a non profit focused on funding and creating trail building opportunities in the Ozarks. This epic three day event, expected to attract thousands of attendees from across the nation, hosts over a dozen bike races, trail runs, kid's zones, live music, camping, bonfires and a nonstop immersion in the culture of natural surface trails.

    This year will bring back the well loved Enduro, Trail Run and Slopestyle Competitions! We will round out the weekend with an XC race on Sunday as part of the UFD series! 

    In true STM fashion, we will bring back as many vendors as possible, awesome music, beer, food and fun fot the whole family!

    25th PFI Professional Bull Riders Invitational - Unleash the Beast!

    The bulls of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) are headed back to town and ready to buck as they take on the toughest athletes in western sports September 7-9 at Missouri State University’s JQH Arena for the PBR 25th: Unleash the Beast PFIWestern.com Invitational, presented by Bass Pro Shops.

     

    As one of the most popular stops on PBR’s premier tour, Springfield is one of seven remaining events and the only three-day event in the second half of the 2018 season for riders to gain much-needed points toward the world standings to qualify for the PBR World Finals (Nov. 7-11) in Las Vegas. Fans can expect exhilarating 8-second rides, and spectacular wrecks throughout the action-packed weekend as the Top 35 bull riders face off against the rankest bucking bulls in the business.

     

    The bull riding action begins at 7:45 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8 and 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9. Tickets for this three-day event can be purchased JQH Arena Box Office, PFI Western Store, Missouri State Tix or by calling (417) 836-7678 or PFI Western Store at (417) 889-2668. Prices range from $15 to $110.

     

    In 2017, fans at JQH Arena saw 2016 World Champion Cooper Davis win the event amidst tough competition. Davis will look to defend his title against some of the sports top competitors. Among that group is reigning World Champion Jess Lockwood, 2017 Rookie of the Year Jose Vitor Lima, 2015 Rookie of the Year Kaique Pacheco who currently leads the world standings, and many more.

Proceeds from these events are shared by Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Ozark Greenways and Wonders of Wildlife.     Springfield St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer

    More than 815 St. Jude supporters attended the 2017 Springfield event, raising $63,511. This year, we are anticipating more than 1,000 participants, and with your help, we hope to raise $75,000 to support the mission of St. Jude.
