Taco Tuesday Group Ride, hosted by TrailSpring, Sunshine Bike Shop, and Houlihans.Join your fellow road cyclists every second and fourth Tuesday (weather permitting) for a great route, some good conversation and an amazing deal on tacos and margaritas from Houlihans, April thru October. Interested? Meet wheels down at 6 p.m. in the Houlihans South parking lot. After the ride, meet back at Houlihans to chill and eat tacos on the patio....
The bulls of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) are headed back to town and ready to buck as they take on the toughest athletes in western sports September 13-15 at Missouri State Universitys JQH Arena for the PBR 25th: Unleash the Beast PFIWestern.com Invitational, presented by Bass Pro Shops. Fans can expect exhilarating 8-second rides, and spectacular wrecks throughout the action-packed weekend as the Top 35 bull riders face off against the rankest bucking bulls in the business.

04 OctThe Missouri State University Ice Bears, a Division 1 member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association, announce the 2019-20 hockey season will feature only games against Division 1 teams and consist of 18 at home with 17 on the road.The Ice Bears will play 35 regular season tilts, a significant drop from an average of 47 contests the past two years, opening the campaign on the road against Illinois State University on September 20th in Bloomington, Illinois.Missouri States first weekend at home is October 4 against the University of Colorado, a Western Collegiate Hockey League opponent, at 7 p.m. in Jordan Valley Ice Park. The Ice Bears will host the 2014 through 2017 Division 1 National Champion, which includes Arizona State (2014), the University of Central Oklahoma (2015 and 2017) and Lindenwood University (2016).The Ice Bears play 17 league games, including eight at home against WCHL clubs. Scheduled home and away league games are against Oklahoma, the University of Central Oklahoma, Colorado, Colorado State University, the University of Arizona and Arizona State University.Maryville University, Northern Illinois University, and McKendree University are also included in the Ice Bears home schedule. The trios are part of 12 new Division 1 teams that have moved up from Division 2. Additional home games include the University of Alabama.Missouri State ended the 2018-19 season ranked No. 14 among 61 Division 1 teams after a 4-1 defeat of the University of Buffalo on March 21, 2019 and a 1-0 loss to Adrian College the next night in the 2019 National Championship tournament. The Ice Bears were the first team in three seasons to hold Adrian College the 2018 National Champion to only one goal in a game.The Division 3 team starts the season September 27 against Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and will play its home opener on October 4 against the University of Wisconsin-Platteville after the Division 1 game.Reserved seats and general admission tickets for the 2019-20 season go on sale August 1 and can be purchased in advance through Missouri State TIX locations, online at: missouristatetix.com, or at Jordan Valley Ice Park on the day of the games. Season tickets are also available by calling Missouri State TIX at 417-836-7678 for ticket purchase information.Tickets are $9 for reserved seats and $8 for general admission for adults; $4 for general admission for Missouri State students, faculty, staff and children under 13.
