The “2014 Official Springfield Area Visitors Guide” is now available from the Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The 165-page, four-color book is filled with information about things to see and do, places to eat and shop, lodging, events, history and more. The free guide is mailed to people who request information about the city, at conventions and events taking place in Springfield, at the CVB’s two tourist information centers and state information centers and through other outlets.
The bureau also published the “Passport to Family Fun,” a coupon book that will be available for free distribution in February.
Information contained within both books also is available online at www.SpringfieldMo.org.
A 2013 Conversion Study conducted by H2R Market Research showed 70 percent of regional travelers surveyed recalled receiving Springfield materials and more than half said those materials had a positive influence on their decision to visit.
