    Why Sports Commissions?

“87% of sports event planners plan to use a Sports Commission or CVB in the coming year!"  – Talty O’Connor, Sports Events Magazine, 2011 NASC Symposium.

In 1999 the Springfield Sports Commission was created to attract and develop amateur sporting events and conventions for positive economic impact on the Springfield community.

Think of us as an extension of your staff. We’ll distribute your meeting profile and requirements to local venues and respond directly to you with proposals and prices. We arrange site visits and help you get affordable rates on accommodations, entertainment options, meals and other services.

The Springfield Sports Commission is a member of the National Association of Sports Commissions.

The NASC is the sports event industry’s leading networking organization. Founded in 1992, it has 500 participating organizations, including 350 cities across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
